ACCOMMODATION

To enhance the special character of this 100 year old home our three suites and three colonial style rooms are simple, stylish and uncluttered but most of all welcoming and comfortable.

  • Feather pillows (or anti-allergenic if you prefer, just ask)

  • An eclectic mix of contemporary and antique furnishings

In the bathrooms, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryers are provided and towels will be changed daily if you wish.

Te Punga SuiteTe Punga Suite

  • Te Punga an elegant three room suite comprising a stylish queen bedroom, a large en-suite bathroom with both shower and deep Victorian claw-foot bath, a sunny sitting room (with desk) enjoying stunning bay views plus you have your own private deck also with 180 degree bay views. All views shown are actual views.

Matariki double bedroom

  • Matariki – The Matariki suite is a large, elegant suite with two separate but adjoining bedrooms, one queen and one double. The en-suite bathroom is off the double bedroom and is shared by both bedrooms. You also have your own sitting room with beautiful bay views and your own deck area where you can sit, read, relax and enjoy the afternoon and evening sun and the beautiful views of the bay. The great thing about this suite is that it works not just for a couple but is ideal for two, three or four people travelling together who are happy to share a bathroom.

Tautoru Suite

  • Tautoru – The Tautoru suite has a different feel from the rest of the house, more beachy with a casual contemporary style in soft, restful colours. It's a large studio with its own private entrance, king size bed, en-suite bathroom, small sitting room and sunny, private deck with sweeping views of water and bush.

Rooms

Takurua room

Takurua - Takurua is one of our upstairs rooms, fresh and light filled it enjoys a magnificent view out over the bay. It has a double bed and a private bathroom across the hall, (so not en-suite) but which is for your exclusive use. The bathroom is a large one, light and bright and has a bath and shower.

Ranginui room

Ranginui (formerly St. Andrews)

Ranginui is the largest of our upstairs rooms, a restful, airy room that gets floods of afternoon and evening sun. It has a super-king bed and en-suite bathroom facilities.

Autahi room

Autahi (formerly Taylor)

Autahi is our third upstairs room and has a special charm. It has a 19thC French country double bed and a delightful view to the bay framed by our magnificent pohutukawa trees. Because Autahi does not have its own bathroom we only ever let this room in conjunction with Takurua for guests travelling together who are happy to share the Takurua bathroom. These two rooms are a popular combination for two, three or four people. View shown is actual.
