SAILING:

Join us for a sail on the 46-ft yacht Freewind, through the breathtaking scenery of the Bay of Islands. Try your hand at the helm, or just sit back on deck and enjoy the natural beauty of the Bay and the abundant Marine Wildlife.

ISLAND VISIT:

Escape with us to an untouched island, and while Freewind is anchored in a sheltered bay, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the sandy beach.
Swim and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters or walk through native bush trails to amazing viewpoints of the Bay of Islands.

KAYAKING:

Explore the pristine island coast the fun way - by kayak. You'll find them easy to paddle and great fun, even if you've never kayaked before.

LUNCH:

A fresh, wholesome picnic lunch is packed for you to enjoy on board or on the beach.
We cater for vegetarians - please let us know when booking.
Gourmet coffee and tea served on board.

FREEWIND:

Freewind is a 46-ft sailing yacht built for charter work and launched in New Zealand in 1998.She has a spacious cockpit and plenty of room on deck. There's room down below for changing and storage and a clean toilet.
Sailing on Freewind is a pleasure for the novice and the experienced sailor alike.

YOUR HOSTS:

Your Skipper, Ron Jones, is a New Zealand licensed skipper who has sailed New Zealand waters all his life. 

Although he and his wife Dalia have cruised the Pacific extensively, they still feel that the Bay of Islands rates at the top of their list of cruising grounds - and they'll do their best to convince you, too. 

They'll make sure you receive the best of Kiwi hospitality on board and return relaxed and full of lasting memories of sailing the Bay of Islands.

Bay of Islands day trips : October through May
We depart daily from Paihia 9.30am and Russell: 10am
Return between 4pm - 4.30pm
