mooring. Relax on the deck while watching the local yacht
races, view the playful dolphins that swim in the bay, or just
snooze and listen to the sound of the native birds.
Russell Township
with it’s shops, restaurants and cafes is approx. 10 min away by
car. Several beaches are located nearby for exploring, swimming,
rock fishing or simply relaxing

game fishing, sailing, kayaking, dolphin
watching, swim with the dolphins, Hole in the
Rock, parasailing, and bush walks

Directions: After
you exit the Opua car ferry towards Russell,
turn right at the second street (Deeming Road),
continue to Kakapu Road and turn left. At the
bottom of Kakapu Road turn left up drive with
three post boxes. Kakapu Cottage is
located at the top of this drive.
